My husband and I have a day off a week. He doesn't do any work and our toddler goes to play with her cousin at her Nana's house.
I usually keep my expectations low, something on the horizon of going for a walk with the baby, cooking a special dinner and some snack food for the week, catching up on some washing and to sort my desk, finally.
Usually I just end up conking out after lunch and wake up to the husband having done the kitchen for me.
The irony of this post is that I ran out of time even to write this as my boy decided his day sleeps were a tad long for his liking... I didn't get my walk, but I DID cook a nice dinner, or at least my slow cooker did.
Ah, one day, a real day off will happen again.
